Before becoming the founder and publisher of the American College of Forensic Examiners International in 1992, Dr. O’Block started out as a police patrolman in the early 1970s, going on to become a probation officer and then senior counselor at the Crawford County Children's Court Center. Changing career paths to venture into academia, he served as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs/Community Service in 1976. During the same year, he was the night school director at Marymount College, advancing to assistant professor in Kansas, associate professor in North Carolina, and eventually full professor and chair of the Department of Administration of Justice at Missouri’s College of the Ozarks.
